Camp Staff

highly trained staff

Our Camp staff includes a highly-trained medical team with licensed physicians and nurses, most of whom are from northeast Ohio's top-ranked hospitals and other leading organizations; registered dietitians to oversee menus and camper nutrition; counselors serving as strong role models, many of whom have diabetes and have been campers themselves; counselors-in-training who have 'graduated' from Camp; program specialists for each activity; certified lifeguards; support staff; grounds and maintenance staff; kitchen staff; and an experienced Director of Camp and Youth Services, Nick Pangio.

We take the safety of our campers very seriously.  All staff are required to have background checks and be fingerprinted.  Hiring is competitive and we look for staff who will provide the campers with the best experience possible.  The beginning of each Camp season is staff training, reviewing policies and procedures, updating all staff about programming, and making sure everyone on site has experienced all of the activities the campers will during the summer.  Periodic updates and refreshers are scheduled throughout the season to ensure continuity in the high-quality care provided.

The staff-camper ratio is at least 1 staff member to every 5 campers.
