Medical Team

Who is the medical staff?

Camp Ho Mita Koda's Medical Director, Dr. Naveen Uli, is a pediatric endocrinologist with University Hospitals of Cleveland.  There is also a licensed physician on site at all times.  Representatives of the Senior Medical Staff (physicians and diabetes specialists from The Cleveland Clinic, MetroHealth Medical Center, Rainbow Babies and Children’s, University Hospitals, and other area medical facilities) visit camp to review current care with the dispensary staff, and are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  A team of nurses reside at the camp and a RN is always on duty in case of emergency.  Dietitians, dietetic technicians, and dietetic interns from Diabetes Partnership of Cleveland and other institutions around northeast Ohio complete the medical staff.  Camp Ho Mita Koda also serves as a training site with supervision for nursing students, dietetic and nutrition students from area nursing and graduate programs such as Case Western Reserve University and Akron University.

Is there always someone on duty?
